Your file is with your lawyer
Once a lawyer takes on your case, they hold it. They have your documents and they are the only ones who can tell you where your application stands or speak to the authorities on your behalf.

Drift cannot give you the status of your case, because we are not your legal representative and we do not act with the authorities for you.
If the immigration office has gone quiet
Long silences are normal and frustrating. Your lawyer is the person who can act on it, because there are formal steps available to them: requesting inspection of your file, and if the authority has still not decided after three months, an inaction lawsuit at the administrative court. If you are not yet working with a lawyer and your case has stalled, a consultation is the fastest way to find out what can be done.
If your situation is urgent
Urgent means a deadline, an appointment, a refusal, or something that changes your status. The way to get that dealt with properly is to book a consultation, so a lawyer can look at your case and act on it. Email replies cannot do that, and neither can we.
