If you have already had a consultation or your case is with one of our partner lawyers, here is how follow-up works.
Your file is with your lawyer
Once a lawyer accepts your case, they hold the file and are responsible for the legal work. Only your lawyer can give you a case update or speak to an authority on your behalf.
If you are working with Eva, contact her directly at [email protected].
Drift cannot provide your case status because Drift is not your legal representative.
If the immigration office has gone quiet
Your lawyer can explain which formal steps may be available, such as requesting access to the file or considering an inaction claim. Whether a step is appropriate depends on the facts and must be assessed by a lawyer.
If you do not yet have a lawyer and your matter has stalled, book a consultation so a lawyer can review what may be possible.
If your situation is urgent
Tell us immediately about a deadline, refusal, appointment, detention or removal risk, uncertain work rights, or urgent travel. We will help route you to qualified legal support, but we cannot assess the legal risk in chat.
