Terms of service

The terms that apply when you use Drift’s platform, matching, and booking services.

Last updated: 7 August 2026

These terms apply when you use driftlegal.ai and Drift’s information, account, matching, booking, and support services.

About Drift

Drift Solutions UG (haftungsbeschränkt) operates a technology platform for German immigration matters. Drift provides AI-assisted general information, helps customers organise their information, suggests independent lawyers, and supports consultation bookings.

Drift is not a law firm. We do not give personalised legal advice, represent customers, or decide whether a legal matter will succeed.

AI-generated information

AI answers and summaries may be wrong, incomplete, or outdated. They are provided for general information and should not be relied on as personalised legal advice.

You are responsible for checking information you provide and reviewing a draft summary before it is shared with a lawyer. Continue to monitor official notices and deadlines unless a lawyer has expressly agreed to take responsibility for them.

Independent lawyers

Lawyers available through Drift are independent licensed professionals. They decide whether to accept a consultation or representation and remain responsible for conflicts checks, legal advice, professional duties, and the services they provide.

A lawyer-client relationship is formed with the lawyer, not with Drift, under the lawyer’s engagement terms.

Matching

A lawyer suggestion is not an endorsement, a guarantee, legal advice, or confirmation that the lawyer will accept the matter. Matching may consider relevant experience, case type, jurisdiction, language, availability, urgency, service fit, and conflicts information.

You may accept a suggestion, reject it, or ask whether another option is available.

Prices and payment

Drift currently displays a 30-minute lawyer consultation for €190 and representation from €990. A “from” price is not a binding quote. The lawyer’s checkout or engagement terms state the final supplier, price, VAT treatment, scope, and payment arrangements.

Government charges, court fees, translations, and other third-party costs are separate unless the binding offer says otherwise.

Cancellations and refunds

The rules shown during booking and our Cancellation, rescheduling and refund policy apply. Mandatory consumer rights always take priority.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, interfere with its security, impersonate another person, upload content you have no right to use, or use Drift for unlawful activity.

Availability and liability

We work to keep Drift accurate and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, a particular lawyer match, an authority appointment, a processing time, or a legal outcome.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, or mandatory consumer rights.

Ending your use of Drift

You may stop using Drift at any time. Closing a Drift account does not automatically end a separate lawyer-client relationship. Contact the lawyer directly about an existing mandate.
