From immigration limbo to a new kind of service
In September 2023, Nia Rakheja was waiting on the German immigration system despite having submitted what was required. The uncertainty put her work, travel, income, and healthcare at risk.
The hardest part was not only the delay. It was the lack of a clear route to reliable information and appropriate legal support.
Why Drift exists
Nia founded Drift to make German immigration easier to understand and navigate. Drift provides AI-assisted general information, helps people structure their case information, and connects customers with independent licensed immigration lawyers when personalised legal advice or representation is needed.
The principle is simple: people should be able to understand their options early, know when a lawyer may help, and reach qualified legal support without navigating a fragmented market alone.
